Samity’ s Program me of work aims at the maintenance of incessant adequate flow of work of the rural artisans of all categories, to supply raw materials up to their needs and demands, to the scheduled cost chart of the KVIC.
Artisans Benefit Fund the Certification rules of KVIC. The Artisans’are economically helped as per need from this fund of Samity. In 2009-10Rs.17.76 Lakhs have been disbursed as an economic help to the artisans.
Samity had arranged for the Artisan’s Welfare Trust Fund as per Khadi Commission rules. From this fund Samity is providing monetary help to the artisans.
In the year 2008-09 Samity has distributed Rs.1,55,359.80as economic help to the poor artisans.
Samity has arranged to deposit the money in the Artisans Welfare Fund of the artisans of the Samity in the Khadi 7 Polyvastra Artisans Welfare and Pension Trust Fund,West Bengal Rs.1,99,77,452.14 has been deposited to the Trust Fund till 31-03-10 of the Total deposited amount Rs.1,81,63,600.34 It is needless to say that the Samity has deposited maximum money to the Trust among the West Bengal Khadi Institution.
The Samity has arranged for conveyance expenses to the artisans who are residing at far off places like Nagarukhra,Surekalna and Rarh areas and also the far of places of the Jalalpur centre of the Samity.
