In spite of financial limitation the Samity try to pay the Salary and allowances to its salaries staff according to its utmost capacity. In the perspective of the market price their salaries and allowances are enhanced from time to time. In the said financial year the Samity has increased the Basic Pay [Special Increment] of some of the staff and also like the City Allowance / Municipal/ Panchayat Allowance, Medical Allowances at the reqest of the workers.
In respect of retail sale Programme of the Samity, the employees who are engaged in the Flagship of Khadi Programme, are entitled to receive retail Sale Incentive on the basis of Sale Progress. In this Financial Year the workers received rs. 5,01,915/- as ex –gratia and Rs. 4,82,296/- as Khadi Dress Allowance from the Samity. They enjoy the benefits of the Khadi Card Holder for their families to purchase Khadi/ Silk Materials at cheaper rates. Provident Fund and Gratuity are allowed to the staff as like government rules.Staff Provident Fund has been deposited regularly with Provident Fund Commissioner. The workers who attain the superannuation age get back their P.F.Money and Gratuity in time and also the retired Staff are getting Family Pension from P.F. Commission Office every month regularly. At a stretch of 20 Years service in the Samity who attain the age of retirement may be privilege to enjoy 5 days Gratuity more i.e. total 20 days, to be in force from the month of January – 05 and it has been increased from20days to 25 days from January- 09. Those who have taken retirement already, they are to enjoy the benefits of 28 days leave in P.L.A/c.
As like artisans workers are being considered to assist financially in hard days from the Workers Welfare Fund for medical and other miscellaneous expenses. DFrom this fund, workers Children received Rs. 17,700 as education Purpose to Purchase books of Class lx to Xll. Bessides this as per guideline of the Samity Workes are being entitled to receive loan of 6 times of their salary and in this Year 2009-10 an interest accrued from this loan Rs. 45,000 to deposit in this fund and from this fund workers children received financial assistance to purchase the books.
The efficiency, knowledge and other quality of a worker to be articulated as per guideline of Samity to benefit the workers family and other steps are being taken in the Workers Efficiency Evaluation Standing Sub Committee to increase the remuneration, perquisites and benefits of the workers in the meeting on 18th September, 2009 with a minimum of Rs.500 per worker.
The remarkable progress of the Samity in the Year 2008-09 has been taken great strides in Khadi Sector in the democratic aspiratipns of the artisans by providing a lump – sum amount of Rs. 2,000/- to Rs. 14, 500/-to each Worker of the Samity. Samity has distributed Rs.7,21,000/- for incentive.
