It is a part of the Samity’s Programme to perform social and national obligations along with production and sale projects.The Samity is of opinion that production and sale programme no doubt assist economic development of the artisans and the staff,it is no less important in furthering their moral development in furthering their moral development and fostering their National consciousness.
The Samityawards prizes to the talented artisans, looks to the welfare of the artisans, arrange free eye operation and dose such other activities.Simultaneously, it helps the distressed people, gives donations to fathers in difficulty to marry their daughters, to various social and philanthropic organizines and papers and in the same way Samity is performing its social and cultural obligations.
Samity dose daily prayers and study circles of great men at every centres and side by side it also observe with devotion the National Red- Letter days and pay homage to the National Leaders and Great men. At the direct supervision of the management, Gandhi- Vinobha Library is functioning to raise to manifest the moral values and talent of the staff of the Samity and sitting of Haribasar for the local Baishanb devotees at Chak are held daily.
At Chak children education centre has been opened in the name of ‘Vagini Nivedita Path Bhavan’ for the teaching of the Young boys and girls belongings to the local artisans and Samity is also running one homeopathic dispensary at Chak Centre. Recently, in association with the Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust a Gram Seva Kendra being opened at Kaladanga Ghat Unit at Samity’s Campus at Chak,Islampore. ABalwadi Progamme is going on since 2 Years with the Participation of local children from 2 Yrs. To 6 Yrs. They are imparted education and food arrangement is there for the nutrition of those children which is social Programme acclaimed by, the local administration.Besides,a adult education Programme is going on at the same campus with the participation of our artisans who are the mothers & sisters of the society. About 200 artisans are imparted education for the ABC knowledge.
In the year 2007 during the august visit of Susri Kumud Ben Joshi, Hon’ ble Chairperson of KVIC, Mumbai, at our Samity’s Chak Centre Ghat unit campus a crèche unit has been inaugurated by her humble hand to impart ethical knowledge to the poor children of our artisans. They are provided food and they are brought up with the affection and compassionate attitude to uplift the social and educational knowledge of the future children of our artisans of the society.
